What it is: LIBERTY SKIS helix ski 2012/2013
specs: 135 | 105 | 122
The new Liberty HELIX is the “quintessential ski” for all conditions. It is no surprise this is Liberty’s best selling ski for years on end. Liberty has received numerous awards and accolades for the shape of the ski as well as their signature light weight bamboo laminate core. With 105 under foot and a wider shovel, this enables the HELIX to stay on top the deep stuff, yet allowing you to slice and dice your way down the hardback with stability and ease. This is the ski that does it all. I have skied all condition with these skis and have not been let down. They continue to impress me with willingness to adapt and overcome variable conditions. A hard charging ski through and through.
From the opening day of the season, I have not stopped getting comments on the top sheet of these skis! Never have I had a ski that got some many people asking about it when I am in lift line. The top sheet is durable and scratch resistant. And Liberty’s UHMW sidewalls set at 78 degree angle will ensure your skis top sheet edges stay looking new.
All in all this is an amazing ski that will give you a fun ride in just about any condition you can put it up against. This ski is your ride…….the one for you if you are looking for a wider ski that will do it all with stability and ease. It floats, it dices, it does it all. Traveling? Only room for one pair of skis? This is the one not to leave at home.
PRO’s: All mountain wonder ski! Will do it all! Bamboo is very light and snappy.
CON’s: A 194cm would be fun. 187cm may be too short for all skier types.

“Helix is exactly what you’d create if you had a ski press in your basement . . …..well maybe after years of hard work and hundreds of prototypes.”
